After graduating from UCLA's undergraduate and professional screenwriting programs, Jonah got his big Hollywood break when he met writer/director Jeremy Garelick (The Break Up, The Wedding Ringer) at a dinner party, got him drunk, and convinced him to read his spec script. Jonah helped Jeremy write on some of his assignments, including a rewrite of Todd Phillips’ The Hangover (a subject matter with which Jonah was already familiar). That film won the Golden Globe for best Comedy, spawned two sequels and landed Jonah a job writing for writer/director Etan Cohen (Men in Black 3, Get Hard) where he earned producer credits for both Get Hard (2015) and Holmes and Watson (2019). In 2017, Jonah sold an animated family feature spec to Netflix and is currently working on assignments in the family and children’s space for several different studios in both animation and live action. He's repped by Joe Mann and Pete Stein at CAA and managed by Natasha Matallana of Rebel Creative Group all of whom will for the most part return his calls. Jonah is originally from San Diego and now resides in LA. He has a penchant for college basketball, Diet Coke, and fantasizes about becoming a DJ. Jonah is also an ordained minister in the state of Rhode Island and has a habit of both over-sharing and referring to himself in the third person. |
